It is with great sorrow that the Morgan family announces the passing of Scott Patrick Morgan, 56, of Lake Jackson, Texas. Scott passed away at home on Sunday, November 2, 2025, after courageously defying the odds for three years while facing serious health challenges.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Lake Jackson, Texas.

Scott was born on December 7, 1968, in Houston, Texas, at St. Joseph's Hospital, to Benny and Doraine Morgan. He was preceded in death by his father, Benny Morgan, Uncle T.L. Morgan, Aunt Joyce Eberly, and Cousin Marcus Schulte.

A proud Texan through and through, Scott graduated from Plano Senior High School, and continued his education at Collin County Community College, and Brazosport College in Lake Jackson, Texas. A major highlight of his career was being a flight follower with Offshore American Helicopter, where his steady presence and professionalism were deeply valued. But ultimately, Scott's passions were for his love of the game of golf, cheering endlessly for the Houston Astros, Dallas Cowboys, and Texas Longhorns. He had an unmatched knowledge and lifelong love for rock 'n' roll, which was truly the heartbeat of his life. Music wasn't just a hobby for Scott, it was his language, his joy, and the way he connected with the world. He shined as a DJ in Dallas and locally at KBRZ radio, sharing his passion and energy with everyone around him and bringing people together through the songs he loved most.

His memory will live on in every song, every laugh, and every moment shared by those who loved him.

Scott is survived by his loving mother, Doraine Morgan, and his sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Brad Bailey. He was a proud and devoted uncle to Jackson LeCompte (Kari LeCompte), Jordan LeCompte, and Morgan Crumrine (Justin Crumrine).

Scott's legacy continues through his many great-nieces and great-nephews: Brody (12), Hayden (6), Baylor (4), Logan (4), Cooper (2), Trace (2), Vivienne (1), and Valley (born October 14, 2025), with another baby girl expected to arrive in March 2026.

In memory of Scott, donations can be made to the bereavement committee at St. Michaels Catholic Church.

Following the Funeral Mass, family and friends are invited to join the Morgan Family for a meal and fellowship in celebration of Scott's life.

Scott taught me about the love of Longhorn football long before I ever became a Longhorn myself. He will be greatly missed! My prayers are with you all during this time!
