Douglas Dwight Dees

Douglas Dwight Dees, 77, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025. He was born on February 22, 1948, in Cameron, Texas, to W.C. and Thelma Dees.

Doug graduated from Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi and proudly served in the United States Army. He was blessed with five children of his own. In 1990, he settled in Lake Jackson, Texas, where he and his wife were devoted members of First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his children: Amy and Fidencio Hernandez of Pawnee, Texas; Victoria and Rick Blake of San Antonio; David Dees of Huntsville, Texas; Michael and Shay Dees of Hillister, Texas; and Brian and Meredith Dees of Beaumont, Texas. He is also survived by his wife's children: Linda Brown and Robert Frizzell of San Marcos, and Robert Brown and Jan Sissel of Cape May, New Jersey; His In-Laws Mark, Beth, Susan, Larry, Joyce, and Layna all from West Virginia with numerous grandchildren. Special thank you to his friends Dawn and Leneese.

Doug was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen Dees, and his parents, W.C. and Thelma Dees.

Doug was always friendly and outgoing. He loved to joke around with people and make them laugh. He was a devoted son and loved his parents. Rest in peace, Doug.
