It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of LaJeana Kay Brooks, 56, affectionately known to her family as Jeana and Aunt Kay. Born on July 12, 1969 in Paris, Texas, Jeana passed away on November 25, 2025.

Jeana made her home in Clute, Texas, where she was known for her fiery nature that seemed to flow effortlessly from her. Whether you had a question or just wanted to talk, she was always there to listen and ready to give.

One of the sweetest ways she expressed her love was through her impeccable memory for birthdays. Jeana never forgot a single one. Each year, she made sure her family and friends felt special and celebrated, often with a call that reminded them just how much they mattered.

Though her passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, her legacy lives on in the kindness she showed and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever treasured.

Jeana is survived by her partner of over 30 years, Walter Woolf Jr; parents, Ronnie and Wanda Hunter; son Matthew Tyson; daughter Jessica Norris (Anthony); grandchildren Ashton, Tara, Braxton, and Bryson Norris; sisters Crystal Andrews (Antonio) and Michelle Scholar; brothers Justin Hunter (Michelle), Ronnie Hunter Jr (Ahna), Randale Maynard, and Clifton Brooks (Jeanna); her beloved nieces, nephews, and their families: Stephanie, Keontey, Kedrian, Antonaisa, Ajalique, John, Tia, Ryan, Vincent, Gregory, Tiffany, Damian, Rebekha, Michaela, Ethan, Mason, Peightyn, Presley, Ryanna, Kentleigh, Lindsay, Victoria, Juliette.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Cindy Morgan and brother, Christopher Brooks.

I've know Jeana since she was a sassy little girl trying to spy on her sister Cindy and myself. As kids I would get tickled at how such a little thing had such spunk and sass! I know without a doubt her sister Cindy taught them that fiery sassy attitude!! I will forever carry Jeana in my heart. I know her big sister was there waiting on her and they are catching up on everything!! Jeana may you fly high and rest in peace, until we meet again. My heart goes out to your children may they find comfort in your memories. Crystal my heart breaks for you, your mother and entire family!! Sending yall much love and my deepest condolences.

Love,
Paula

Jeana was my older sister, we were so close in age that we could have been twins, but we were sooo totally different.. as a kid she was so full of life and very active.. She left to cherish to Beautiful Children who loved her dearly.. she would call all of us on birthdays, she never forgot anyones, no matter who they were.. She always wanted to know what we all were having for dinner and if she didnt like it shed call someone else and if it sounded good, she would either ask for a plate or call me and ask if id make it for her.. towards the end of her days she would be a little difficult, but we always started the next day off great.. ill miss her calls and seeing her everyday, but i know shes smiling down on us now, laughing and saying, hey look at me, i can walk and run again.. rest easy Jeana.. LOVE YOU ALWAYS, your baby sister..
