On September 28, 1978, Salvador married the love of his life, Irma Escobar, and together they built a beautiful family. He is survived by their four children: Alex Martinez (Elia); Brenda Barrera (Noel); and daughters Clarissa and Marissa Martinez. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Ellis Martinez and Asher Barrera, who brought immense joy to his life. Salvador also loved the family pets - Bandit and McCoy (Ellis), Smokey and Georgie (Clarissa), and Remi and Dolly (Marissa) who were always part of the lively, loving home he cherished.
Salvador dedicated 47 years of his life to his work as an electrician, faithfully serving the same company throughout his entire career. Over those decades, he formed deep bonds with many coworkers, with whom he shared more than 35+ years of friendship, hard work, and mutual respect.
Outside of work, Salvador found his greatest happiness in the simple things, spending time with his grandchildren, enjoying the outdoors, and sharing laughter with everyone around him. He also loved watching Western movies, especially Lawman, and could often be found relaxing with a classic western on the screen. Known for his humor and warm spirit, he had a gift for making people smile and was always ready with a joke.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Salvador and Maria Del La Luz Martinez Martinez.
A funeral service honoring Salvador's life will be held at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, 98 Dixie Dr, Lake Jackson, TX 77566.
Salvador's legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the friends he uplifted, and the countless memories filled with laughter and love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
