With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the life of George F. (Chris) Bachtel, a loving husband, devoted father, faithful servant of the Lord, and steadfast provider. Throughout his life, he led his family with strength, wisdom, humility, and unwavering faith.

As a dedicated professional in the petrochemical industry, he worked tirelessly to provide for his family, opening doors to many opportunities and memorable travels around the world. No matter where life took him, his greatest joy was always found in the presence of his beloved wife and children. His love for his family was evident in every sacrifice he made and every lesson he taught through both word and example.

Above all, he was a man deeply devoted to the Lord and to Baptist ministry. His faith guided every part of his life and inspired those around him. Answering God's call to serve, he faithfully led his family to Canada as part
of the foreign mission field, dedicating his life to sharing the Gospel and ministering to others with compassion, grace, and humility. His testimony of faithfulness leaves an enduring impact on all who knew him.

George is survived by his devoted wife, Evelyn; and his loving children: Angela & Michael Reyes, Lisa Unger, Georgia & David McGillick along with his sister Claudia Bachtel. His legacy will carry on with his grandchildren, Brian and Ava Reyes, Madison and Kennedy Unger, Ruben and Phillip Gallegos, David McGillick Jr. and Jamie Mcgillick. He will also continue to shine within his seven precious great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy E. and Evelyn Bachtel; his three brothers, Roy, Charles, and Joseph; and his sweet granddaughter, Jessica.

Though the sorrow of his passing is great, his family finds comfort in knowing he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior. He will be forever missed by all who loved him. His legacy will continue to live on through the kindness, grace, faith, and strength reflected in his family and future generations. His life was a beautiful example of devotion to God, to family, and to others and his memory will remain a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to know him
