Marie Ann Roman, 59, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 8, 2012. A private service will be held for family members.

Marie was born in Taylor, Pennsylvania, on February 24, 1952, to Albert and Irene Gable. She graduated Riverside High School in 1970 and on September 4, 1971, married her husband, Mr. Joseph F. Roman of Scranton, Pennsylvania.

In 1974, Marie and her husband relocated to Lake Jackson, where they raised their five children. Marie was a proud mother of three sons, Joe Roman, Jeff Roman and Steven Roman; and two daughters, Cathy Ann Panesar and Lee Ann Bell. She was a homemaker for much of her adult life, raising five wonderful children whom she loved and cherished. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother and loyal friend.

Marie worked as a mail clerk in the Angleton County Court office, where she modeled a strong work ethic and generous spirit. Marie devoted her life to her husband and children, and nothing pleased her more than spending time with them and her grandchildren.

Marie is preceded in death by her father, Albert Gable; and mother, Irene Gable.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph F. Roman; brother, Al Gable Jr., of Taylor, Pennsylvania; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph J. and Laurie Roman and their children, Nathan, Natalie, and Sarah of College Station, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy Ann and Jyotpal Panesar and their daughter, Carina of Waukesha, Wisconsin; daughter and son-in-law, Lee Ann and Matt Bell and their daughter, Julie of College Station, Texas; son, Jeff Roman and Laura Butterfield of Lake Jackson, Texas; and son Steven Roman of College Station, Texas.

Marie will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand." John 10:27-29.
