Sallie Ann Stremmel died February 28, 2012.
She was born to Evert L. Brewer and Esther Brewer on June 21, 1935 in Greybull Wyoming. She always loved Wyoming, and her life growing up there riding horses in the mountains the beautiful scenery. She was married to Conrad Stremmel, in Niagara Falls New York on May 25 1956 and together they had three children, Catherine Elliott, Paul Stremmel, and Daniel Stremmel. She moved to Texas in 1963, but Wyoming would always be her real home

She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Stremmel, her parents, Evert and Esther Brewer, and her sister, Dolores Buwalda, and brother, John Brewer, and niece Elizabeth Buwalda.

Surviving her are her children, Catherine Elliott and her husband Bryan, Paul Stremmel and his wife Tina, and Daniel Stremmel, grandchildren, Wesley Elliott and wife Jamie, Luke Elliott and wife Andie, Bradley Elliott and wife Delane, Brandon Elliott, Megan, Calvin, Glenn Stremmel, Ethan, and McKenzie Stremmel, great grandchildren, Renee, Bryan and Dean Elliott, niece; Michelle Buwalda and nephews; Clyde and Peter Buwalda, all of Alaska.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 2, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel located at 98 N. Dixie Drive Lake Jackson, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel in Lake Jackson, Texas

The family would like to thank IPH Hospice and their nurses and staff for their wonderful care provided to Sallie and her family during her last 5 months of her life.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to IPH Hospice, 135 Mulberry, Angleton TX 77515.

I've always remembered the Stremmel family because of Conrad (Lee!!), and, subsequently Catherine. Conrad was devoted to his job at BASF. I knew because I supervised him for awhile. I know he loved Sallie and their familly. We need more people like the Stremmels!
