Michael James Gautreaux, 61, of Freeport, Texas, lost his battle with lung cancer Friday, May 11, 2012 at his home.
He was born in Freeport, Texas, on March 30, 1951 to Lee Roy and Lucile Gautreaux. Michael joined the U.S. Navy in 1971. He worked as a millwright machinist until he retired with a disability in the 1980s.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy and Lucile Gautreaux; and an infant son, Joshua Lee Gautreaux.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Rose; two sons, Michael O'Neil Gautreaux and wife, Kaylee and David Allen Gautreaux and wife, Crystal; and one daughter, Rose Ann Tumlinson and husband, Cameron; and ten grandchildren.
Visitation and a memorial will be held at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel in Lake Jackson, Texas, Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
