Shirley Ann Gautreaux Hanes, 77, of Freeport, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 at Brazosport Regional Health Care Center. She was born on November 15, 1934, to O'Neil Jean Gautreaux and Maggie Blanchet Gautreaux.

Funeral Services for Shirley Ann will be held at 10:30AM Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Freeport with Father Edmund Eduarte officiating. Family will receive friends 6pm until 8pm Tuesday, July 31 at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel, a rosary will be held at 7pm with Deacon Wallace Shaw officiating.

Shirley was a long time resident of Freeport. She was married to Larry Hanes for 49 years, the love of her life. Shirley was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was a member of the choir and Catholic Daughters. She worked as an accountant for both the Freeport and Dow Hospitals before she retired. She loved going on trips. Shirley and Larry took many road trips together. She was a loving aunt that spoiled her 2 nieces and 2 nephews. She graduated from Freeport High School in 1953 and was active in her class functions currently held each month.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ernest and Lee Roy Gautreaux; one nephew Michael Gautreaux and her husband, Lawrence Hanes.

Shirley is Survive by her two nieces Patricia Bly and husband Luke of Port Lavaca, Margaret Nowak of Clear Lake and one nephew Tommy Gautreaux of Fountain Colorado

Pallbearers will be Tommy Gautreaux, Eric Nowak, Michael Gautreaux, David Gautreaux, Adam Ramirez, Cameron Tumlinson , and Honorary Pallbearers Luke Bly.
