We were so sorry to learn of Donald's passing. I (Diana Evans Schutze) was out of town with my sisters Carolyn Evans, Pat Evans Morgan and Mary Evans Speed. Although we have never met, we were all very close to Donald and Jimmy when were all kids. Our Dad, Joe Evans, is Uncle Corky's older brother. Uncle Corky and Uncle Wayne lived with us for several years, off and on, while they were growing up. We were always very close to our aunts and uncles and a lot of our cousins on the Evans side of our family. Our mother, Donald and Jimmy's "Aunt Rosie or Aunt Penny", loved Donald so very much. Buddy, Theresa, Betsy, and Kevin have all spoken so highly of you and your daughter over the years. I could hardly believe Donald was a grandparent when Theresa told us. It is so hard to believe the "little kids" have all grown up and old enough to have grandchildren!haha Please accept our sincerest condolences and know that we have had you and your family in our prayers. I am sorry we have never had the opportunity to meet especially now that Donald is gone. I do hope you will keep in mind that if you should have a need to talk or get out you can call on us. I didn't mention Jamie, but she really loved all of you. When Uncle Corky had just passed, we (Mother and I) were at the house and I sat with Jamie for a whild and tried to console her. I told her she still had a lot of family who loved and cared about her and her Mother. She began to tell me of her relationship with Donald and Jimmy. I was so thrilled to know they were close and that they had such a loving relationship. One last thing, our Granny Evans loved those boys to death! She kept them for Uncle Corky after Donice left and every time we would visit Granny they would be running around, laughing, eating or fishing. They kept our Granny young! Even though we haven't had contact in too many years to count, I have always loved my little cousins. Again, God bless you and your family. We will always keep all of you in our prayers. Love, Henry & Diana
