Iola Fay Bellar, 82, of Freeport, Texas, went home to be with the Lord September 4, 2012. She was born August 19, 1930 in Gauze, Texas to Robert Owens and Jeannie Bell Sanders. She moved to Freeport in 1948 with her husband Bill. Iola was a member of Shady Oaks Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 24 years, Willie McEnice Bellar, one daughter, Marie Fay Bellar; one brother; and three sisters.
Iola is survived by six children, Kenneth Bellar and wife, Beverly, of Enid, Oklahoma, Bobby Bellar and wife, Debbie, of Jones Creek, Jerry Bellar, of Freeport, David Bellar and wife, Jerry, of Enid, Oklahoma, Betty Bellar, of Freeport, Shirley Bellar, of Freeport, six grandchildren, Lisa Cholerton and husband, Michael, Angela Laubach and husband, Shawn, Crystal Zakarian and husband, Brett, Jason Bellar and wife, Alice, Serena Robb and husband, Donald and Davin Bellar; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, James Sanders, of Fort Worth.
The family will receive friends 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday at Lakewood Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2012, at Shady Oaks Assembly of God with Rick Helguero officiating and Bill Smith assisting.
Pallbearers will be Jason Bellar, Davin Bellar, T. R. Logan, Bobby Fortner, Oscar Guerrero, Carlos Reyes II and Joe Echartea. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth, Bobby, Jerry, David, Betty and Shirley.
