James (Jim) Larry York was born December 1, 1944 in Salisaw, Oka. Jim was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in September of 2012.


He left to be with the Lord in his home, surrounded by his family on Valentine's Day at 12:45pm.


A celebration of his life will be held with his family and loved ones on Sunday, February 17, 2013.


Jim is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sirina Lea York;


Son, Tony York,


3 daughters and sons in law Candice and Travis Griffin,


Tina and Sean Schobel,


Stephanie and Andrew Grisham,


5 grandchildren: Cambree, Rebecca, Raylee, James Thomas, and Andrew,


2 sisters, Marsha and Debbie, and 1 brother Gary


Jim proudly served in the United States Navy during Vietnam from 1962-1966 as an aviation store keeper aboard the USS John Hancock. He retired from BASF after 35 years. Jim was humble, kind, respectful, patient, a great friend, avid outdoorsman, a "man who had it all"; but first a foremost a loving father and husband.
