Dorothy Lee Bean of Richwood, TX, passed away at the age 82, on April 7, 2013 at the Cornerstone Hospital in Webster TX with loved ones by her side.
She was born to Alfred and Ruby Welch in Maxie TX on May 17, 1930.
Dorothy was married to Belve "Pinto" Bean; for 63 years.
Dorothy was a homemaker that worked hard to raise her three daughters. She enjoyed her oil painting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Dorothy is survived by husband Belve "Pinto" Bean, three daughters, Hope and Husband Murray Griffin, Rhonda and husband Kenneth Terrill and Myla Boyer all of Lake Jackson TX. Her grandchildren, Shayla Chambless , Shonda and husband Waylan Mikel, Murray Belve and wife Cheryl Griffin, Brent Griffin, Katelyn Griffin, Gilbert "Geb" Boyer, Tharon Boyer and Lance and wife Ally Boyer. Great grandchildren, Tayler Chambless, Cameron Chambless, Makenzie Hutson, Hayden Hutson, Ava Boyer, Sydney Boyer, Jacade Boyer, Carson Griffin and James Irby also residing in Lake Jackson TX.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Ruby Welch, her brother Larry Welch, and sister Joyce Lavern Welch.
Pallbearers include her grandsons Belve Griffin, Brent Griffin, Geb Boyer, Tharon Boyer, Lance Boyer and great grandson Cameron Chambless. Honorary Pallbearers great grandchildren; Hayden Hutson, Carson Griffin, Jacade Boyer and James Irby.
The funeral service will be held at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 10:30 AM. Brother Carroll Grigsby of Unity Missionary Baptist church will be officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral. Burial will follow at Restwood Memorial Cemetery in Lake Jackson.
