Funeral services for Josephina (Betty) Quintana Diaz, 69, of Freeport, Texas, will be held at 10:30 a.m, Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Lakewood Chapel with Sister Mary, officiating.

The Lord called on her April 25, 2013. Interment will be held at Gulf Prairie Cemetery. Friends can arrive at Lakewood Chapel for the rosary from 6 until 9 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2013.


Betty Diaz is survived by, Freddie Quintana Sr and wife, Yolanda of Brazoria, TX; Jessie Diaz Jr., of Cuevo, TX; George Diaz, of Lake Jackson, TX; Debbie Diaz, of Corpus Christi; Mario Diaz Sr and wife, Dalila, of Clute, TX; Robert Diaz, of Lake Jackson, TX; 14 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.


Pallbearers will be close relatives and friends of Betty.


Betty was raised at a very young age in El Campo, TX.


Later she moved to Freeport, in the 1960's, where she began to settle down and raise her six children. Betty was an amazing woman. Her many past times included going to church, spending time with family and grandkids, and her "bff" Mary Aluiso.


Betty also enjoyed shopping, dancing, music, praying and reading her bible.


She will be greatly missed by all of her loved ones. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Jesse R Diaz Sr., and grandson, William Eugene Hogan Jr, aka "Lil Will".
