So sorry to hear this news. As children we grew up together my parents Dulana & Billy Ferguson live on the same street my sister Sandra, the Johnson boys, the George girls & I played together every single day. had a magical childhood spent playing outside inventing our own games of hide & go seek. jumping off the back yard shed, fashioning make believe boats out of random sticks. My condolences to his family.

I can still hear Steve singing "Yellow Bird ... Up High in Banana Tree" and strumming his guitar. I will always remember his laugh and his willingness to amuse us kids by dressing up on Halloween ... Sometimes as a clown, other times as his manly twin sister, "Stephanie."

Donnie and Gerry, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. It's been a while since I've seen you, but I still think of you both as my little brothers.

May God be with you now and always.

With love to all,
Adrienne

Donnie and Gerry, I was so saddened and shocked to hear about the death of your Dad. I want you both to know that I am praying for your family. Your Dad was such a family man and loved you very much. I know you will miss him , but remember God is with you now and always. I spoke to Adrienne earlier to let her know and I will be calling Audrey to let her know. I wish I could be there for the service but live in Mississippi now. I would love to see you both. Again, I am so very sorry about the loss of your Dad.
Love, Pat

My heart is broken just knowing Stephen is no longer with us. Memories of him are happy and fun and full of love. He was a good father and a wonderful friend. I hope his entire family will find comfort in the memories he helped create. May God keep you all in his loving care, especially through these difficult times.

Donnie, Gerry, and family,

I am so sorry for the loss of your wonderful Daddy. He was always such a neat person to be around. You may not remember me but I'm Pat Coley Downey's best friend and have enjoyed all the years of knowing you Dad. I watched you boy grow up for several years. Know that he will be missed and I'm sending love and a huge hug around you both at this extremely sad time. Love, Kathy

Steve was a very good friend in the 70's and 80's when I lived in south Texas. He was so kind and generous; great family man and father !
