Funeral services for Christopher Allen, 39, of Lake Jackson, Texas, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on August 17, 2013, at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, with Bobby Williams officiating. Interment will be held at Angleton Cemetery.


The family will receive friends at Lakewood Funeral Chapel from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on August 16, 2013.


Christopher was born March 26, 1974 in Baton Rouge, LA. He was raised in Bay City, Texas. He was a longtime faithful employee of the Dow Chemical Company, and resided in Lake Jackson, Texas for the past 11 years. He loved the Astros, LSU and the Green Bay Packers.


Christopher is preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Allen; and mother, Janis Layfield.


He was welcomed into their loving arms. A heart too big for this world, he is gone far too soon, and always in our hearts.


He is survived by his brother, Shane Allen; sister, Nanette Young; uncle and aunt, Wayne and Sissy Layfield; and cousins, Michael and Lisa Layfield.


Pallbearers will be Wess Price, David Hess, Josh Rangel, Roger Snick, DePaul Profet, Paul Shine, and Matt Krythoff. Honorary pallbearer will be Steven Secrist.

Chris, you were a brother nor just a friend. I will always cherish memories of you. Am sorry for not being able to have been a friend the last 2 years, but I know that I will see you again one day.
