Woodrow Wilson (Jack) Bartlett, 96, of Lake Jackson passed away Oct. 24, 2013. The family will receive friends 5pm -7pm Sunday at Lakewood Chapel with a 6pm Rosary. Funeral services will be 10am Monday, October 28, 2013 at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Monsignor Leo Wleczyk officiating.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn; parents Melinda and Homer Bartlett, and six siblings.

Jack is survived by four children: son, Bobby Bartlett and wife Darleen, of Garrison, Texas, three daughters, Betty Bartlett Harrington and Brenda Bartlett of San Antonio, Texas, Jackie Wiley of Portland, Oregon, 2 grandchildren: Stephanie Sokolovsky and Ryan Wiley and 2 step grandsons: Derk and Darren Harrington, one brother Paul Bartlett, and one sister Verna Metting.

Jack served in the U. S. Navy in the Seabees during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Jack was one of the early volunteers of the Sea Center of Lake Jackson and one of the early members of the Coastal Conservation Association. He retired from Dow Chemical Company in 1979. He was also an avid fisherman and traveler.
