I have worked with Gary for the last 12 years. Gary was a great mentor who I have learned a lot from. When there was a problem on the production lines at work he did not just fix the issue but thought through the issue to come up with a resolution. He was a real thinker.

We shared a love for classic cars and I will think of Gary when I see one.

Whenever he talked about his family you felt the pride he had for each of them.

I will greatly miss Gary as I know the rest of our employees will at SAS. Condolences to Cindy, David, and Sarah and all his family.

May God provide you peace and comfort during this time,

Dean

As an intern at SAS in Wilmington, I unfortunately never had the chance to meet Gary in person. However, after a short trip to Houston, It was obvious how much he meant to every single SAS employee and business partner. I was looking forward to meeting Gary after the great things I have heard about him as a manager, and now, my thoughts remain with his family.

I loved Gary like a brother. I will never have a more personable, engaging and dear friend. He will always live in my heart and my mind. We were classmates, roommates, workmates and brothers in spirit. My life is incredibly richer from having been Gary's friend. His calm demeanor and incredible insights made associating with him very easy. My only regret is that geography separated us and we could not maintain our friendship as closely as before.

I would like to extend my thanks to Gary's parents - Joyce and Bill - for giving me the opportunity know Gary. I will never forget him and my thoughts will always be with you, Cindy and the rest of the family.

With deepest sadness,

Randy
