Kenneth Dale Hall, 82, of Lake Jackson, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 3, 2015 while surrounded by his family.

Kenneth was born on January 16, 1933 in Mexico, Missouri to Glenn and Mary Vivian Hall. He met the love of his life, Charlene Lake, in grade school and they were crowned King Neptune and Queen Aphrodite at their senior prom. They graduated together from Mexico High School in 1951.

After graduation, Kenneth and Charlene married on March 9, 1952. In 1953, Kenneth was drafted to the United States Army during the Korean War. He was stationed in Berlin, Germany where he served as a medic in the 6th Infantry Regiment. In 1954, Kenneth was awarded the Outstanding Soldier of the Regiment. In 1999, he was among 200,000 Americans who were awarded the Cold War Veteran Recognition Certificate.

After his time served, he worked for the lab at A.P. Green Refractories in Mexico. Passionate about all sports, Kenneth officiated football, basketball and baseball for the youth in Missouri. In 1968, his job transferred him to Freeport, Texas and he settled with his wife and three children in Lake Jackson. He continued to be involved in officiating and also became active in refereeing the Texas Relays as well as becoming a coach for the Lake Jackson Softball Association.

Kenneth and his family were active members of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Lake Jackson. He was committed to being involved in many capacities at the church which included serving on the Vestry, teaching Sunday school for all ages and taking part in the services on Sunday mornings. Kenneth could always be called upon to help provide food in the name of the church for retreats and other gatherings that St. Timothy's was a part of, as well as the rest of the community. He was also a member of the prison ministry for the Texas Department of Corrections in Brazoria County.

In May of 1995, Kenneth received a degree in theology from the University of the South from their Education for Ministry by way of their Theological Education by Extension.

He and his wife loved to travel and made many trips to Europe. He was an avid fan of college football as well as golf and was responsible for making golf clubs for many people. He could always be counted on to tell a good story and give a hearty laugh. He was a kind and honorable man who loved his family dearly and touched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Kenneth is survived by his son, Dale and wife Silvia of Euless, Texas; daughter, Tracy Littleton and husband Mike of Lake Jackson; daughter Sandy Williams and husband Steve of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren Andy Littleton and wife Jennifer, Allen Littleton and wife Morgan, Aimee Martin and husband Jeff, Stephanie Williams and Austin Williams; great grandchildren Braeden, Ella and Laura Martin; and his faithful dog, Buddy.

He is preceded in death by his wife Charlene Hall; parents Glenn and Mary Vivian Hall; and granddaughter Stacey Hall.

The family will receive visitors at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, located at 200 Oyster Creek Drive in Lake Jackson, on Friday, March 6 from 3-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Timothy's.

I am sorry for your loss and wish you God's blessings at this time. I had the privilege to officiate football with Kenny when I lived in Lake Jackson. He was an excellent teacher of professionalism and I treasure the memories of working with him.

We are thinking of the Halls during this difficult time. Losing a parent is heartbreaking . Your father was always so kind to the kids in Sleepy Hollow as we were growing up. Our prayers and thoughts are with your family .

Sincerely ,
