Joe Edd Hall, 89, of Lake Jackson became an angel on July 9, 2018. He leaves his wife of 64 years, Florine Broussard Hall, who even with his last words was able to tell her how beautiful she was. Joe was the third of five children born in Friday, Texas, April 1, 1929. Joe served in the United States Army and was discharged in 1952 when he moved to Lake Jackson where he met Flo and they would begin their lives together later being joined by their children. He was a long time member of St. Jerome Catholic church. He loved anything outdoors. Joe lived for his family and friends. He always a had a smile on his face and a kind word to say. If you had the privilege of knowing him you knew there was nothing he wouldn't do for you. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Velma and Edwin Hall; his brothers, Gerald and Richard Hall; and his great grandson, Thomas Hall. He is survived by his wife, Florine; his son, Michael and Jerri Hall; his daughter, Laura and River Michaels; grandchildren, Tiffany Bertrand, Angela Hall, Dustin Hall; one great-granddaughter, Maddie Hall; sisters, Mary Faircloth and Margaret Jordan; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends that he considered his family. He will truly be missed. He was a shining star. There will be a viewing and rosary Thursday, July 12 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home. There will be a service Friday at St. Jeromes Catholic Church in Clute beginning at 10:30 a.m. His final resting place will be the National Cemetery in Houston. Pallbearers will be Dustin Hall, Chris Oldham, Greg Oldham, TJ Broussard, Richard Drake, and Alex Alvarez Jr.

My condolences to the family and especially to Mrs. Hall. I have prayed that our kind and understanding Heavenly Father, Jehovah, will give you peace and hope. In your Bible there are several verses that have helped me in the loss of my wife and daughter. One is in John 11:23-25 where Jesus tells us that there will be a resurrection of the dead. Another is in Revelation 21:1-4 where it tells us of a new heavens and new earth where God will dwell with men and will do away with death, pain, sorrow and tears. Could you picture your husband and your children's father coming back to life and living with all of you in a much better world than this one? This is a possibility. There is more at jw.org. I hope this helps some. Steve
