Daniel Bryan "Danny D" Derbonne was born November 13, 1957 and passed away Monday July 20, 2020. Dan was the most loving son, brother, father, grandfather (Poppo) and friend. Dan was also an avid fisherman; he enjoyed fishing with his brothers John and Skip and best friend Chuck. He loved to tinker, fix things, enjoyed playing games and trivia. His most favorite way to spend his time was playing with his granddaughter, Nora Ivy. Over the past few years, he had moved in with his mother, Glenda, to take care of her and spend some much loved quality time with her. His mama was always right there with him to make sure he was doing everything correctly, as she did with all of her boys. He loved to laugh and to make others laugh. Playing pranks on anyone he could would always bring him so much joy. He was a lover of all kinds of music from Ray Charles all the way to Christina Aguilera. He loved to dance and was a master of the "bumble bee". Dan was such a kind and gentle man and anyone who met him would agree in a heart beat. He will be missed by so many and will be in our hearts forever. Shaggy, Dan. Left to Cherish his memory are his mother, Glenda Derbonne; brothers, John & Harold "Skip" Derbonne and Chuck Walker; Children, Joey Derbonne, Ellory Canard and Natalie Derbonne; Grandchildren, Hagen Ford, Creed Derbonne & Nora Canard.

Dano was an all around great guy at Unit 3 and also outside of work. Was always smiling and joking and making everyone laugh. Prayers to the family.

I was a coworker with Dan for a long time. He was a man of integrity, a hard worker, had a great sense of humor and was an integral part of the Unit 3 family at Dow. He loved to fish and "shake those bones". He is a brother in Christ and will be sorely missed till we meet again. My heart goes out to his family during this time of loss.
