She later moved to the Brazosport area in the early 1960s. Frances was always a hard worker and enjoyed working at Community Hospital for many years. She also was employed at various construction companies. She met and married Andrew Rasmussen in 1961 and remained happily married until his passing in 2007. She had many interests and talents such as playing the piano for the nursing home residents. Traveling and seeing new places was also something she loved to do. However, the most important part of her life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks you to make a donation to a charity of your choosing.

Ms. Rasmussen was my first boss when I was in high school training for a profession as a secretary. I went on to have a career in the medical field from my experiences at the Community Hospital back in 1968-70. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
