Obituary of Karl Eric Peronto
March 28, 1965 - August 31, 2025

Karl Eric Peronto was born on March 28, 1965, in Ishpeming, Michigan. He passed away unexpectedly on August 31, 2025, at home in Freeport, TX.

Karl grew up in Ishpeming, MI where he graduated Westwood High School. He went on to enlist in the United States Army.

Karl honorably served our country as a mechanic in the Army. He deployed to Germany during the Gulf War and served our country until an honorable discharge in 1993. He continued in a career as a welder for the City of Killeen until his retirement in 2022.

Karl is survived by his loving wife, Jan, and their three sons, Kolton, Kolby and Konnor, mother, Gloria, Sisters, Nina Fredrickson (Greg), Myra Rushford (Dean), brother, Walter (Jane), and many loving nieces, nephews and in-laws and preceded in death by father, Walter.

He was a devoted husband to Jan for their 30-year marriage always with chivalry and honor putting Jan first. He was fully immersed in raising their sons to be gentlemen and showed them warmth, tenderness, and affection.

Karl enjoyed hunting, fishing, and everything to do with his family. He enjoyed traveling and would strike up a friendly conversation everywhere he went. He passionately discussed politics and respectfully listened to all opinions. He was a proud Veteran and displayed the American Flag adhering to the proper rules and etiquette for flying the American Flag.

Karl will be remembered for his family dedication, wonderful laugh, his kindness and for truly being such a good man!

Visitation will be held at Freeport-Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Jackson on September 6, 2025, from 1:00 - 3:00 pm and for those wishing to stay, a memorial service will be held following the visitation at 3 pm.
A private burial with full military honors will be on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Houston National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Karl Peronto's name to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of his father, Walter. https://www.alz.org/texas

Karl was born on a Sunday and went to Heaven on a Sunday. ''Sunday's child is full of Grace.'' The sand may brush off and the salt may wash away but the Memories will last forever! Heaven is Just Beachy now!

A heart of gold has stopped beating, leaving behind a profound ache for Jan, Kolton, Kolby, and Konnor, as well as for all who were fortunate to experience his warmth; yet, the love and cherished memories he gifted us will forever illuminate our hearts, reminding us that those we love never truly leave us.

Karl was such a good man and truly made the world brighter. Words just aren't enough to do him justice. We all love him and will miss the light he brought to us all. I have no doubt he will watch over us all until we are together again. I am so grateful that I got to have him for a brother-in-law.

My deepest condolences to the Pronto family. My wife and I have you in our thoughts and prayers. I worked with Karl at the Container Shop. Karl was a great guy, he always had a smile on his face and a great attitude towards work and his family. We had many laughable moments in the Container Shop. I will miss my friend and colleague. I pray that you will find peace in his passing. One day I hope to see my friend again.

Karl-
Wow. You were truly a genuine heart. You always would ask others how they was doing . Ask us about our boys. You would tell us about your three boys and nothing but good things. You will always tell us How much you admired Jan and what she was doing . Your children are and will remain a reflection of you Karl. My husband respected you and didn't strike up a lot of conversations but when there was a bond fire he always would say , I will be talking with Karl. He was comfortable around Karl. Everyone was. Because you could be yourself and didn't have to be anything but. Thank you Karl for being you . You truly are an amazing person. God got one of the good guys .
May Jan, Kolton, Kolby and Konnor find peace and cherish each and every memory by knowing they was loved and praised by the one that loved them the most. For that he did. Because he told everyone and anyone about each of you. I love you all dearly. And pray you can lean on the other one and know God has your Karl and one day we will all be together again to hear his laughter and hear his stories again.

To the family;
It is with the deepest regret to hear about my dear friend Karl. Death, cause much grief and sadness. We worked together for so many years at the Solid Waste Department. Karl was a joy to be around, You would always find a Smile on his face no matter what his job was. He was a great team at the container shop.
The bible talks about a resurrection, I truly believe we will see Karl once again when that time comes.
