Juanita Fay "Granny" Crocker, 87, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013 at Creekside Village in her home town of Clute, Texas following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. The family will receive friends noon until service time at 2pm Monday, September 16, 2013 in the Lakewood Funeral Chapel withRev. Willie Earl Shiflet officiating. The family requests donation to Heart to Heart Hospice.

Juanita was born to parents, Lawrence Albert & Mary Lou Wilson on April 4, 1926 in Wanita, Texas. She moved to Clute with her husband, Clarence Roland Crocker in 1951, where they raised their five children. Granny raised many children beyond her own. In addition to taking on the job of raising many of her grandkids during the work week and summers, she took in anyone that needed a helping hand. You could stop by on your way to work for coffee and a quick game of Skip-Bo, or any evening for a home cooked meal and a fresh glass of sweet tea. Granny was devoted to her family and extended family. She suffered great loss in her life, but she held herself high and persevered. Her strength could not be matched, and her heart was filled with unconditional love. Her life's work is evident in the lives of those she leaves behind, and she will be lovingly remembered for many generations.

Juanita was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roland; parents Lawrence & Mary Lou Wilson; brothers Raymond Odell, Charles Edward, and Albert Merle Wilson ; sister Dorothy Jean Phillips; sons Jimmy Lee and Billy Wayne Kellum, and Jimmy Loy Duran; great grandson Charles Edward "Eddie" Klehm; brother-in-law Bobby "Louie" Phillips and sister-in-law Gloria "Glo" Wilson.

Juanita is survived by daughter Sharon Jewel Klehm; sons Daniel Price Kellum and wife Gail, Frank Roland Crocker and Jesse "Jackie" Mitcham; brother Donald Wayne Wilson and wife Sally; sisters-in-law Lena Pearl and Mary Wilson; 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 6 great, great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and 'adopted' children that she raised along the way including Kenneth Lynn Klehm.

"Granny"/Mrs. Crocker; was my mother-in-law and taught me so much. Will miss her. She was the best Granny ever and the only Granny my daughter, Caroline Rene' Duran ever got to know. She was the best cook and Skip-Bo player ever. Cherish all my wonderful memories. The best are Christmas Eve and Easter at Granny's.
